Field Practical Training at the Production Facility
Based on the implementation of SDG 4: “Quality Education”, SDG 8: “Decent Work and Economic Growth”, SDG 11: “Sustainable Cities and Communities” and SDG 17: “Partnerships for Sustainable Development”, on November 3, 2025, the Department of Economics organized an off-site practical lesson for 4th-year students of the specialty “6B04109 - Digital Economy”.
The practical lesson took place at the production facility of Keremet Su SKE LLC, which manufactures products under the Samal Water brand. As part of the curriculum for the course "Economic Analysis of a Company's Operations Based on Digital Technologies," in line with the topic of week 10—"Technologies for the Digitalization of a Company's Fixed Assets," the students were introduced to the company's production process.
During the on-site practical training, the students explored the stages of water purification, filtration, and packaging, were introduced to all levels of the production facility, and also had a hands-on experience with digital technologies used in the company's operations, conducting an economic analysis. Company representatives provided a detailed description of the modern technologies used in production, the quality control system, and the effectiveness of digital tools. They also demonstrated how the company implements sustainable development goals and complies with occupational health and safety and environmental requirements. At the end of the on-site training, the students shared their impressions and discussed the role of the digital economy in real-world production and its contribution to sustainable development.
Organizer of the field trip, subject teacher: PhD, senior lecturer Gulia Kenzhebekovna Ilyashova.
