Improving the psychological competence of advisors working with student youth

On January 15, 2026, from 10:00 to 13:00, in the meeting room 409 of the library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a practical master class seminar was held within the framework of social and educational work, in accordance with the indicators of the TDM 3, 4 and 10, within the framework of the Winter School of Curators, aimed at improving the psychological competence of advisors working with student youth.

The seminar was conducted by a psychologist, associate professor Kalymbetova Elmira Kenesovna and senior lecturer Iliyasova Aigul Amangeldiovna.

The topic of the seminar was called “Prevention of suicidal behavior in the student environment: its mechanisms”. The goal of the seminar was to develop resilience and effective coping strategies in young people, as well as to form practical competencies in recognizing stressful and crisis situations, including the threat of suicide.

The seminar was attended by senior adviser D.R. Turarov and group advisor I.U. Kuliev participated.
