Youth Financial Culture: A Step Toward a Sustainable Future

Second- and third-year students of the “Finance” educational program at the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized an event entitled “Financial Culture and Responsible Financial Behavior in the Context of the Digital Economy,” aimed at improving financial literacy and enhancing the economic culture of students.

The event was held within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 “Quality Education” and SDG 8 “Decent Work and Economic Growth.” In the context of digital transformation, the development of financial competencies is an essential component in preparing qualified specialists.

The objective of the event was to increase students’ interest in economic processes and to strengthen their understanding of the importance of financial literacy in the professional development of future specialists.

During the event, participants highlighted the significance of the financial system, the role of money in economic development, the principles of personal financial planning, and the fundamentals of responsible financial behavior.
