Financial literacy is a continuous process of financial education

On December 21, 2023, at 15:00, the lecturer of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Amanzholov Zh. M. held a webinar on the topic: "Financial literacy is a continuous process of financial education." The webinar was attended by 2nd year undergraduates of the Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure, Labor Law Muratkyzy A., Turysbek A., Abdulla A., Toktar D. The webinar was organized within the framework of 3 SDGs. The purpose of the webinar is to discuss the important components of financial reforms aimed at improving financial literacy, increasing access to economic, social and financial services and preventing future crises in the world practice. In general, there are homogeneous problems in financial literacy related to the lack of financial knowledge and competencies among the vast majority of social groups and target audiences in many countries. The high level of financial literacy of the population contributes to improving the standard of living of citizens, the infusion of funds from private investors into the country's economy, the development of competition in financial markets, strengthening financial stability and improving the welfare of society.
In their reports, the undergraduates discussed and voiced proposals that influenced society” Concepts of improving financial literacy for 2020 – 2024". In conclusion, the recommendation on the introduction of the discipline “Financial literacy” as a compulsory discipline in universities is considered.
