Cooperation between MIEMIS of Altai State University and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University - the way to achieve the SDGs

In 2015, UN Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was designed to achieve a better life and future for all people around the world. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals actually encompass sustainable and inclusive development. The 4th Sustainable Development Goal is Quality Affordable Education. Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. This goal can be achieved through a variety of measures.  One of the measures to contribute to the realisation of this goal are such forms as mutual training, internships and other activities aimed at intensifying the exchange of information.

International cooperation established since 2016 between the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi https://farabi.university/  (Kazakhstan, Almaty) and the International Institute of Management Economics and Information Systems (IIEMIS) https://miemis.asu.ru / of Altai State University (Russia, Barnaul) gives the opportunity to expand the opportunities to obtain and exchange knowledge in the field of economic science and management.

The 90-year history of KazNU named after Al-Farabi university which became the centre of science in Kazakhstan, allows young people to develop intellectually and gain knowledge in various fields. The implementation of the state policy of innovative development, which meets the requirements of modernity, has also established itself as a highly competitive world-class research university.

 Today the International Institute of Management Economics and Information Systems https://miemis.asu.ru/ of Altai State University is rightfully considered to be one of the most prestigious units of higher education institutions of Altai Krai – a leading centre for training economic and managerial personnel. Today the Institute implements the development strategy, which consists in providing consistently high quality of economic education. The implementation of this strategy is aimed at maintaining the competitiveness of Altai State University in the market of educational services, development of continuous economic education and international relations, diversification of educational services.

Doctoral students of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, this characteristic is conditioned by the choice of the university to undergo a foreign scientific internship. 

This internship allowed doctoral students to deepen their knowledge of the scientific problems under study, rethink the applied methodology and gave a new impetus in their research.
