«Legal Education and Public Opinion: Developing Professional Skills Through Student Debates»
On 12.11.2024, as part of the implementation of the UN SDG No. 4 "Quality education", debates were held with the teacher of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Proceedings and Criminalistics J. T. Khudaibergenov and students of 115,116,117 groups of the Faculty of Law. Its purpose is to give students the opportunity to develop critical thinking, analytical skills and confident speech skills. Debates teach students to analyze information on various topics, base their opinions and respect opposing points of view. They broaden the horizons of students and help improve research skills. In addition, debates develop important social skills such as teamwork, efficient use of time, and public speaking. At the university level, such events stimulate the active participation of students in important issues of society, which, in turn, contributes to the training of responsible and educated specialists. The debate games were conducted by students of 115,116,117 groups of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law and Criminalistics.
