Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a meeting with representatives of public associations dedicated to inclusive education and discussing the concept of the university's roadmap.

The event was opened by Gainiya Tazhina, Director of the Scientific and Practical Center for Inclusive Education, who paid special attention to the relevance and focus of inclusion in modern society. In her speech, she noted that creating an accessible educational environment for students with special needs is a priority that requires comprehensive cooperation from all stakeholders.

"In KazNU's roadmap for the development of inclusive education, we must introduce new ideas that will help open up new opportunities for people with disabilities in our society. Only through joint efforts will we be able to develop effective approaches and implement ideas that will ensure the creation of an accessible educational environment that is equal for all students, regardless of their background",- Gainiya Tazhina said.

During the discussion of the roadmap concept, Ilyas Fatkulin, Head of the Asian Society for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities "Zhan", noted: "Students with special needs should have the same requirements as ordinary students in the learning process. This approach will increase their self-responsibility and help them regain faith in their abilities".

Bogdan Dzhepka, a member of the Public Council of Almaty, also expressed the opinion that creating the necessary conditions in universities for people with disabilities will significantly increase the number of people who want to get higher education. This, in turn, will open up new perspectives and opportunities for their full integration into society.

During the meeting, the participants discussed general issues, conditions for ensuring equal conditions for students with disabilities, including the adaptation of curricula, accessibility and the use of new technologies for effective learning. Special attention was paid to the development of a roadmap concept that will provide a perspective for the development of inclusive education.
