The Institute for Advanced Studies and Additional Education of KazNU named after al-Farabi operates in accordance with the order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 474 of 14.06.2002, the decision of the Academic Council of KazNU No. 6-21-335 of 04.07.2002 and the order of the rector No. 170 of 18.07.2002 . In December 2016, by the decision of the Academic Council of the University of December 21, 2016, the Institute was transformed into the Institute for Advanced Studies and Additional Education. Institute for Advanced Studies and Additional Education provides advanced training for teachers of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 368 specializations and 40 scientific areas; organizes and conducts advanced training courses on the most relevant topics for school teachers, as well as conducts training within the framework of professional retraining and additional education.The main directions of the organization and implementation of the educational process

At the Institute for Advanced Training and Additional Education of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, engaging classes on health care and physical activity continue. A recent session was dedicated to physical activity for people over 50 years old.
The theme of the first session was "Age-related body characteristics and individual approach to physical activity." Participants learned self-control techniques, including monitoring pulse, breathing rate, and blood pressure. Special attention was paid to familiarizing with possible contraindications and the need for consultation with a doctor before starting the exercises.
Safety is a priority: Participants also familiarized themselves with the basic safety rules during physical education classes both indoors and outdoors.
Morning exercises for vitality: The importance of morning exercises and its role in awakening the body was emphasized during the session. Listeners not only learned about the principles of composing a complex of morning hygienic gymnastics but also independently created their complexes and practiced them in a group.
Active learning and interaction: The session was held at a high organizational level, with active participation of all listeners. Presentations and discussions contributed to the deep assimilation of the material.
