The scientific and innovative infrastructure of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University includes structural units within which scientific research is carried out in priority areas of departments, research laboratories, young personnel are trained, and the results of research are tested. The interaction of structural divisions of Al-Farabi KazNU within the framework of interdisciplinary and specialized research ensures the effective transfer of new technologies to the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has established a multidisciplinary research cluster recognized both in Kazakhstan and abroad, coordinated by the Department of Science and Innovation. The scientific and innovative infrastructure of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University consists of the following structural units: 16 faculties, 63 departments, 7 research institutes, 9 research centers and research institutes of the natural and technical direction, 21 research centers and research institutes of the social and humanitarian direction, a cluster of engineering and high technologies.
