A round table on SDG 3 "Diabetes in the context of sustainable development and the role of youth in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3.4 by 2030" was held at the Department of Health Policy and Organization
On November 17, 2025, a round table was held at the Department of Health Policy and Organization, organized by 3rd–year bachelors in the specialty "6B10114 - Medicine" under the guidance of senior lecturer Toktarova NN. The event was held as part of a cycle of activities dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG 3 “Good health and well-being”, on the theme “Diabetes in the context of sustainable development and the role of youth in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3.4 by 2030”
The participants discussed key issues of the diabetes epidemic at the global and national (Kazakhstan, India) levels, risk factors for diabetes mellitus type 2, prevention of this disease and the development of complications. Special attention was paid to the role of youth in shaping a healthy nation.
In the final part, there was a discussion about the prospects of screening for early detection of diabetes mellitus.
The event highlighted the importance of involving young researchers in the discussion of global challenges and the development of practical solutions in the field of medicine and healthcare.
