Parasat trade union held a reporting conference

Parasat" trade union of employees of Al-Farabi KazNU held an annual reporting conference.

Chairman of the trade union committee Talgat Mekebayev stressed that the Head of State highly appreciated the role of trade unions in Kazakh society and set great tasks for the participants of the organization.

T. Mekebayev noted that during the reporting period the trade union "Parasat" of KazNU employees carried out fruitful work aimed at further improvement of social, labor, legal and economic protection, organization of rest, recreation, health improvement, leisure of employees.

"Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev has repeatedly noted that the main purpose of the financial activity of the university is to create the most comfortable conditions for students and teachers. When achieving this goal, the role of the trade union increases significantly. Trade Union "Parasat" pays special attention to further improvement of social, labor, legal and economic protection of employees, organization of recreation and recreational activities", - said T.Mekebayev.

The trade union reimbursed 50% of the cost of health resort vouchers and up to 100% discount for summer camps for employees' children. Funds were allocated for honoring jubilees, expenses for treatment of employees.

During the reporting period, trade union organizations of faculties and subdivisions carried out a number of activities aimed at ensuring professional, labor, socio-economic rights and interests of employees.

The delegates of the conference noted that the task of the trade union is to unite the team on the basis of mutual respect, to create conditions that ensure effective work and decent rest, the realization of the principle of social justice.

The participants of the event highly appreciated the work of the trade union "Parasat", also approved the report of the audit committee, work plan and cost estimates for 2024.

At the end of the conference, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the trade union "Parasat" employees of KazNU activists of the organization were awarded the medal "Yeren eңbegi ushin" Al-Farabi KazNU.

Benefits for trade union members

Subsidies for vouchers to sanatoriums, depending on the length of service, are paid as follows: more than 2 years of experience - 30%, more than 5 years of experience - 40%, more than 10 years - 50% of the cost of the voucher. We take the average cost of a trip to the Koktem sanatorium as the basis for calculating the subsidy.

Union members are reimbursed for medical services. On average, the amount of compensation should be 50% of the cost of services, but not more than 50,000 (fifty thousand) tenge. In some cases, compensation for treatment is allocated by a special decision of the trade union committee. Compensation is issued in especially severe cases (complex operations, long-term treatment)

Subsidies for vouchers for children to summer camps are awarded in the amount of 50% of the average cost of the voucher: 70,000 (seventy thousand) tenge is 35,000 (thirty thousand) tenge, regardless of length of service and the number of children. Special cases (difficult financial situation, large family) should be discussed separately.

40,000 (forty thousand) tenge are allocated for celebrating anniversaries (60 years). For 65,70,75 years, 25,000 (twenty-five thousand) tenge are allocated.

Financial assistance in connection with the death of loved ones (spouses, parents, children) – 30,000 tenge.

There is an opportunity to visit all summer health camps in Kazakhstan for children of employees of KazNU named after. al-Farabi. Subsidies for sending children to summer camps are calculated at 50% of the average cost of sending 70,000 (seventy thousand) tenge, which is 35,000 (thirty-five thousand) tenge, paid regardless of the length of service and the number of children. Particular attention is paid to special cases (low financial status, large family).
