BRANCH OF AL-FARABI KAZAKH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY IN ISTANBUL

Within the framework of the first official visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Turkey, a meeting was held with President Tayyip Erdoğan, following which an agreement was reached on bringing Kazakh-Turkish relations to the level of expanded strategic partnership. In connection with the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan on May 11, 2022, a branch of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was opened in Istanbul (Turkey). Integrating into the global scientific and educational space, KazNU increases awareness and expands its network as a leading exporter of educational services.

 

 

BRANCH OF AL-FARABI KAZAKH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY IN BISHKEK

On May 26, 2022, as part of the official visit of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, a branch of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was opened in Bishkek. The opening ceremony was attended by: President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic. Having met the distinguished guests, Zhanseit Tuimebayev told about the new branch of KazNU: "In the branch of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Bishkek, education will be conducted on 13 bachelor's and master's degree educational programs."

The following educational programs are currently being implemented at the Bachelor’s degree:

  • 6B05108 Biomedicine;
  • 6B04205 Jurisprudence;
  • 6B06103 Computer engineering.

BRANCH OF THE NATIONAL RESEARCH NUCLEAR UNIVERSITY "MEPHI" IN THE AL-FARABI KAZAKH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Branch of the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) was opened in the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University based on the agreement initiated by the Head of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Russia Vladimir Putin in 2022. The unique educational programs of the branch of MEPhI are focused on the professions of the future and comply with international standards of engineering education. Kazakh National University has a rich experience of cooperation with foreign and Russian universities in the field of science and education development.

  • Educational program

The following educational programs are currently being implemented at the Bachelor’s degree:

  • 6B06101 Защищенные высокопроизводительные вычислительные системы;
  • 6B05301 Физика элементарных частиц и космофизика;

Master’s degree: 

  • 7M06101 Защищенные высокопроизводительные вычислительные системы и технологии.
