Preventing Religious Extremism and Its Role in Society
On 13 November 2025, an open advisory session on the topic “Preventing Religious Extremism and Its Role in Society” was held with the 4th-year students of the “Translation Studies” major. The event was organized by the group advisor, Aigul Alpysbayeva.
During the session, students explored the concept of religious extremism, its negative impact on society, the factors that lead young people to radical ideologies, and effective prevention strategies. The discussion covered legal awareness, media literacy, methods of detecting destructive content, as well as real-life case examples illustrating the importance of early prevention and made posters.
The session helped strengthen the students’ civic responsibility and enhanced their understanding of counter-extremism culture.
