On November 20, 2025, the Faculty of Law hosted a guest lecture delivered by Police Lieutenant Colonel Aida Asylbekovna Daetova, a doctoral candidate of the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Makan Yesbulatov. The event took place at 13:00 in Room 301 for students of groups 308 and 309 and was held as part of the “Law and Order” project office initiative.

The lecture was titled “Corruption as a Factor in Aviation Incidents. The Impact of Corruption on Flight Safety.” During her presentation, the speaker provided an in-depth overview of how corruption practices can influence the aviation sector, highlighting key risks and real-life examples of situations that may compromise flight safety. Special attention was given to corruption prevention, enhancing transparency in aviation structures, and the role of law enforcement agencies in ensuring safety.

Students actively participated in the discussion, asking questions about the specifics of investigating aviation incidents, international flight safety standards, and liability for corruption offenses.

Such lectures help future lawyers develop a deeper understanding of complex threats to public safety and enhance their professional competence in the field of anti-corruption efforts. These meetings also contribute to fostering students’ legal culture, civic responsibility, and respect for the law.

The event was organized by the curator of group 129 PC — Roza Ergaliyevna Sagalbayeva.
