Students of Northwestern Polytechnical University Visit the Department of Chinese Studies

On November 26, 2025, students from Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xi’an (PRC) and students of the Department of Chinese Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies took part in a joint class within the framework of cultural exchange. Professor Jiang Xuehua from China and Clara Mukatay, a lecturer of the Department of Chinese Studies, alternately conducted classes for the students of both countries.

During the lesson, the two lecturers introduced the education systems and universities of their respective countries. They also exchanged experience in language teaching. At the end of the class, students presented the culture and traditions of their countries. Students from both sides actively communicated, discussed various topics, and exchanged information about opportunities, procedures, and requirements for studying in China and Kazakhstan. Many questions were asked. The meeting was held in a very lively, warm, and engaging atmosphere.
