International Cooperation with Northwestern Polytechnical University Discussed

On November 26, 2025, representatives of Northwestern Polytechnical University — Wang Gaozu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and Cui Xiaobin, Secretary of the Graduate Training Department — paid an official visit to the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

The guests from the city of Xi’an were received by Nuraly Kairanbayev, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies for Research, Innovation and International Cooperation, Farida Orazakynkyzy, Head of the Department of Chinese Studies, Daniyar Madiev, Deputy Head of the Department for Research and Innovation and International Relations, as well as Yerzhan Kerimbayev, Deputy Head of the Department for Academic and Educational Affairs.

During the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed the development of multifaceted cooperation between the two universities. In particular, prospects for bilateral student exchange, professional development of teaching staff, organization of summer and winter schools, implementation of joint research projects, and preparation of joint academic publications were considered.

The parties expressed their readiness to actively develop the necessary mechanisms to implement these areas in the future. The negotiations, during which the raised issues were discussed in a constructive manner, were held in a friendly and businesslike atmosphere.
