An American scientist will give a leadership lecture at KazNU

At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the founder and CEO of Peri-Nuc Labs in Houston, USA, renowned professor and scientist Shaiken Tattym will deliver a leadership lecture on the topic "The nature of cancer and ways to combat oncological diseases".

The lecture will take place on November 28, at 12:00, on the 15th floor of the main building of KazNU.

Shaiken Tattym graduated from the Faculty of Biology of KazNU in 1979.  Today, he is one of the world's leading scientists in the field of cell biology.

The scientific laboratory founded by Shaiken Tatum has developed innovative approaches to the study of cancer and cell biology. For the first time, scientists have isolated and characterized a cytomatrix, an elastic solid phase of the cytoplasm that did not separate independently. A deep understanding of the cytomatrix is important in the fight against cancer.

Under the leadership of Professor Shaiken Tattim, a fast and sensitive technology was developed for the efficient extraction of malignant cells from frozen tumor samples to obtain cell traces, as well as a method for high-throughput screening of chemical compounds. These technologies make it possible to identify the immunogenetic properties of cancer cells, test the affinity of antitumor antibodies, and screen a number of drugs that may be effective in the future.
