The Faculty of Oriental Studies Strengthened Cooperation with Lanzhou University

On November 24, 2025, representatives of Lanzhou University — Ms. Zhao Chunhui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Higher Education, Mr. Luo Yangyang, Deputy Dean, and Professor Geng Lele — paid an official visit to the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

The guests from Lanzhou were welcomed by Shynar Erlanqyzy Kanafiyeva, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies for Academic, Methodological and Educational Affairs, and Farida Orazakynkyzy, Head of the Department of Chinese Studies.

During the meeting, the parties comprehensively discussed issues related to the development of multilateral cooperation between the two higher education institutions. In particular, proposals on bilateral student exchange, professional development of teaching staff, organization of summer and winter schools, implementation of joint research projects, as well as preparation of joint academic publications were considered. The negotiations were held in a friendly and business-like atmosphere.
