On November 25, 2025, the Volgograd Institute of Management hosted the 3rd International Online Olympiad "Russian Samovar," dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet Sergei Yesenin. Students from the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management, as well as Turkmen students majoring in Geography from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in the competition.
The event included specially designed tasks designed to assess not only the participants' literacy and erudition. Participants learned interesting facts about the poet's biography, learned about the composers who set his poems to romances, and experienced the melodiousness, melody, and open expression of emotion characteristic of his lyricism.
The educational partnership with the Department of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication at the Volgograd Institute of Management has become a strong tradition for our university, facilitating cultural exchange, establishing connections among students and faculty for mutual spiritual enrichment, and expanding academic potential.
