Held lectures and practical seminars on the topic "Spatial Data and Applied Geoanalytics"

From 26 to 28 November 2025, at the Kazakhstan–China Joint Laboratory of Remote Sensing Technologies and Their Applications of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Associate Professor, PhD in Geography Irina Grigoryevna Malganova from the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Technologies of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University conducted a series of lectures and practical seminars on “Spatial Data and Applied Geoanalytics.”

During the seminar, participants were introduced to modern methods of acquiring, processing, and analysing geospatial data, practical approaches to the use of remote sensing materials, as well as applied geoanalytical tools. The event aimed to highlight the role and capabilities of emerging technologies in solving complex geoanalytical tasks.

Throughout the three-day seminar, attendees received in-depth information on the following topics: contemporary methods of collecting geospatial data; techniques for interpreting remote sensing data; applied tools for geoanalytics; and the fundamentals of building spatial models.

The seminar was attended by faculty members, doctoral students, and master's students of the Department of Geography, Land Management, and Cadastre, who had the opportunity to exchange experience with a leading Russian specialist.

The event made a significant contribution to strengthening scientific cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia and to the integration of geoinformation technologies into educational processes and scientific research.
