Session of the General Meeting of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NIA RK)

On November 28, 2025, a session of the General Meeting of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NIA RK) was held in Almaty (in the assembly hall of the Satpayev KazNTU). The session was attended by government and public figures, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a number of government organizations, leading engineers and renowned scientists, production specialists, large national companies and organizations, as well as members of the Academy.

The agenda includes summing up the Academy's activities for 2024-2025, discussing the objectives outlined in the 2025 Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and identifying priority areas for development in the coming period.

The keynote address at the session was given by the President of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician Bakytzhan Zhumagulov. In his speech, he summarized the Academy's activities for 2024-2025 and outlined important priority areas and strategic objectives for the NEA RK, including the development of engineering science, the implementation of digital and innovative technologies, strengthening interaction with manufacturing sectors, and the training of highly qualified engineering personnel.

Representatives of regional branches and affiliates of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan also spoke.

Over its 35 years of operation, the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan has implemented more than 3,245 projects in engineering fields, fundamental and applied scientific research. A significant portion of the results obtained have been implemented in production processes and contributed to the economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As part of the event, in accordance with established tradition, a ceremony summing up the results of the 10th Anniversary Republican Competition "Best Engineer of 2025" was held.

(During the ceremony, outstanding engineers, heads of manufacturing enterprises, and government officials who have made significant contributions to the development of the country's engineering industry were awarded.
