«Contemporary Kazakh Prose: Leading Trends, New Names, Prospects for Study»

On 23 October 2025, after the plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Contemporary Kazakh Prose: Leading Trends, New Names, Prospects for Study» was completed, meetings were held in the following sections: «Archetypes, Chronotope and Ethnocultural Models of Modern Prose», «Language, Concept Sphere and Cultural Self-Identification of Modern Kazakhstani Prose», «Genre Transformations in Modern Prose», «Gender Poetics and Women's Writing», «Digital Literature and New Formats of Modern Prose», «Methodology and Practice of Studying Modern Russian-Language Prose of Kazakhstan». We would like to especially note the work of the section led by moderators: Cand. Sci. Philology, Associate Professor E. T. Kakilbaeva, Doctoral Student I. S. Klimenko. The section was attended by representatives from various universities of Kazakhstan: A. Margulan PPU (Pavlodar), Turan (Almaty), M. Kh. Dulati Taraz University (Taraz), KazGASA (Almaty), and doctoral students from the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature. The announced topics of the papers were distinguished by their relevance, novelty, and vividness. Of particular interest were the presentations by A.S. Nurakhynova «A Linguocultural Analysis of the Concept of 'Stone' in A.Zh. Zhaksylykov's Novel 'Singing Stones'», D.A. Khudayberdina, «Representation of Bilingual Identity in Contemporary Kazakhstani Prose: From Linguistic to Cultural», I.S. Klimenko «The Steppe as a Cultural Archetype in the Prose of Vsevolod Ivanov and Yuri Serebryansky» and among others.

            Conducting conferences, seminars, and roundtables and the participation of our undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students is a valuable tool for improving the quality of teaching and learning (SDG-4).
