Research Seminar on “Contemporary Theoretical Approaches to Futures Studies and the Concept of Post-Habitual Time” at the Faculty of Oriental Studies
On 3 December 2025, the Faculty of Oriental Studies hosted a research seminar titled “Contemporary Theoretical Approaches to Futures Studies and the Concept of Post-Habitual Time.” The seminar was delivered by Dr. Elena V. Muzykina, representing the Center for Post-Habitual Politics and Futures Studies.
During the seminar, Dr. Elena Muzykina outlined the core principles of post-habitual time theory and introduced current methodological frameworks used in futures studies. Particular attention was given to the transformation of social practices and the relevance of prognostic models for analysing potential future scenarios.
The seminar attracted active participation from first- and second-year doctoral students as well as master’s students of the faculty. Participants emphasized the academic value and practical relevance of the material presented.
