Binary Lecture on “GIS – Geographic Information Systems”
On 3 December 2025, a binary lecture on the subject “Geographic Information Systems (GIS)” was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University within the framework of the MECAS international project.
The lecture was delivered by Asiya Tureniyazova, representative of the Nukus State Technical University and the main coordinator of the project.

The session covered modern GIS technologies, digital mapping techniques, spatial data processing, and the application of GIS in environmental research.
Students explored real-case examples, learned geospatial analysis methods, and actively engaged in interactive discussions.

This binary lecture enhances cooperation among MECAS partner universities and contributes to improving the training of future geoinformatics specialists.
