International scientific and practical conference titled “Issues and Prospects for the Development of Labor Relations and the System of Social Partnership in the Republic of Kazakhstan: Theoretical and Practical Aspects.”

On December 5, 2025, at 11:00, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific and practical conference titled “Issues and Prospects for the Development of Labor Relations and the System of Social Partnership in the Republic of Kazakhstan: Theoretical and Practical Aspects.” The event was organized by the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure, and Labor Law and dedicated to Doctor of Law, Professor Köben Abzhanuly Abzhanov.

During the conference, participants conducted an in-depth scientific analysis of modern trends in labor law, the legal nature of labor relations, directions for improving the institution of social partnership, and pressing issues of labor legislation reform. They offered substantive scientific proposals and practical concepts aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of labor relations, strengthening social dialogue, and improving mechanisms for the effective resolution of labor disputes.

The international scientific and practical conference gathered leading representatives of domestic and foreign academic communities, distinguished experts in labor law, faculty members, and master's students. In particular, the following prominent legal scholars and practitioners delivered speeches at the event:

• Igor Ivanovich Rogov — Chairman of the Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law, Professor;

• Ömiräli Shakarapuly Zhalairi — Doctor of Law, Professor, President of the D.A. Kunaev Eurasian Law Academy;

• Amanzhol Magzumovich Nurmagambetov — Doctor of Law, Professor;

• Nurlan Abduzhaparovich Jazylbekov — Member of the Presidium of the Almaty City Bar Association;

• Nikita Leonidovich Lyutov — Doctor of Law, Associate Professor at the Higher School of Law, Maqsut Narikbayev University;

• Maksim Vadimovich Savich — Attorney at the Almaty City Bar Association.

The event served as an important academic platform dedicated to honoring the life work of Professor Köben Abzhanuly Abzhanov, his role in establishing a scientific school, and his significant contribution to the development of labor law science. The conference featured comprehensive presentations on the impact of his scholarly works and legal ideas on the evolution of modern labor legislation.

In addition, participants thoroughly discussed issues related to developing the methodological foundations of labor law science, harmonizing international experience with the national legal system, and providing legal responses to new socio-economic changes in the labor market. As a result of the conference, scientific proposals were formulated to define future prospects for the development of labor law, outlining new horizons for research directions.
