On December 4, 2025, at the Faculty of International Relations, at the Eurasian Research Center, a round table was held on the topic “The EAEU Between Energy Security and the Green Agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals.” The event was attended by master’s students of the Educational Program “International Relations” and the Director of the Eurasian Research Center, Professor G. A. Movkebayeva.

During the meeting, participants discussed the key challenges of the energy policy of the EAEU countries through the prism of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including:

1. energy security,
2. climate policy,
3. investment and the development of renewable energy,
4. the geopolitics of energy resources.

Special attention was paid to the contradictions between economic growth, environmental sustainability, and foreign policy factors. The discussion was held in an active format, featuring substantive presentations and lively audience participation. The event served as a platform for in-depth analysis, exchange of views, and the formation of a sustainable perspective on the EAEU energy agenda in the context of global development goals.
