SDG 4: A Meeting with Student Deans and Organization Leaders Was Held
The Deputy Vice-Rector for Sustainable Social Development and Director of the Social and Educational Department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhuldiz Dapenkızı Yesimova, held a meeting with student deans and leaders of student organizations to review the results of the first academic semester within the university.
During the meeting, participants discussed the systematization of educational directions for the upcoming academic period, enhancing student engagement, and increasing the effectiveness of educational processes at the university.
Key priority areas aimed at fostering the comprehensive development of students were reviewed, and several important issues were identified. In particular, planned activities in the following educational areas were outlined:
· Civic and patriotic education
· Spiritual and moral education
· Intellectual development
· Legal education
· Labor education and career guidance
· Health promotion and the formation of a healthy lifestyle
· Environmental education
· Development of student self-governance and social engagement
Zhuldiz Dapenkızı emphasized the significant role each of these directions plays in shaping students’ personal and professional development. She underlined the importance of supporting student initiatives, coordinating the work of student organizations, implementing new projects, and highlighted the main focus areas of activities conducted to date.
Student deans and organization leaders proposed joint projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing students’ academic, social, and cultural development, and shared their suggestions for the upcoming academic year. Additionally, issues related to strengthening student self-governance, increasing social responsibility, and developing the student ecosystem at the university were discussed.
The meeting served as an effective platform for strengthening communication, mutual understanding, and cooperation between the student community and the university administration.
