Chinese Tea Traditions Discussed at the “Chinese Language Corner”

The Department of Chinese Studies held another session of the “Chinese Language Corner” within the framework of the “Silk Road” student club. The meeting, organized under the guidance of first-year curator-adviser Aizhan Baiserke, focused on exploring Chinese tea culture.

Chinese students demonstrated elements of the traditional tea ceremony and shared insights into tea-drinking customs in China. Kazakhstani students, in turn, presented the unique traditions of Kazakh tea culture. Participants also learned many new words and expressions related to tea and tea etiquette.

The event proved to be highly informative and valuable for students of both countries, strengthening cultural understanding and exchange.
