Motivational Support Event for Iranian Studies Students Held at Al-Farabi KazNU within the Framework of SDGs 4, 10 and 17

On December 11, 2025, a motivational support event was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, at the Department of Middle East and South Asia (Iranian Studies division). The event was aimed at supporting third-year fee-paying students.

The purpose of the event was to increase students’ motivation for learning, support their academic engagement, and contribute to the professional development of future specialists. The initiative was implemented within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.

The event was organized by alumni of the Iranian Studies division, E.K. Kassabekova and G.Zh. Omarkhanova. During the meeting, the alumni congratulated students on the upcoming Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and conveyed warm greetings and encouragement from the Iranian Studies alumni community.

The program included the following activities:

presentation of financial incentives to third-year fee-paying students as a form of motivation and academic support;

a motivational meeting focusing on the importance of education, professional responsibility, and academic development;

a collective message from the alumni, “Let us support each other,” encouraging unity, mutual support, and cooperation among young specialists.

The event strengthened the connection between students and alumni of the department and contributed to the development of sustainable partnerships within the academic community. The initiative demonstrated the alumni’s commitment to continuing such supportive activities and promoting inclusive and quality education.
