Round Table on “Gender Stereotypes and Their Impact on Innovation and Economic Progress”

On November 6, 2025, senior lecturers of the Department of Geography, Land Management, and Cadastre, L.B. Kenespaeva and G.B. Aubakirova, held a round table with 4th-year students of the specialty 6В05205 – Geography on the topic “Gender Stereotypes and Their Impact on Innovation and Economic Progress.” The event was dedicated to Sustainable Development Goal 5 – Achieve Gender Equality (SDG 5).


During the event, discussions focused on empowerment of women, female leadership, the role of women entrepreneurs, and women in STEM and science. Special attention was given to women leaders, their influence on gender relations, career growth, economic progress, and the importance of gender equality policies.

The topics of HIV prevention, including prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission (PMTCT), and risk factors for HIV among women, including women leaders, were also addressed. The discussion highlighted the protection of women’s rights to safe behavior, promoting female employment, and supporting women’s entrepreneurship.

The round table emphasized the interaction between female leadership, family policy, gender identity, and social support, and their impact on innovation and sustainable development.

The event helped students understand the importance of gender equality in the economy, science, politics, and entrepreneurship, strengthen the role of women in society, and promote the protection of women’s rights.
