The “Chinese Language Corner,” organized within the framework of the Zhibek Zholy club at the Department of Chinese Studies, continues its activities. The latest session, held for first-year students under the guidance of curator-advisor Aizhan Baiserke, focused on introducing participants to the traditional Chinese art of paper cutting.
During the event, students learned about the history and cultural significance of this traditional craft. Chinese students shared insights into the techniques and distinctive features of paper-cutting art, while Kazakh students presented the art of traditional Kazakh ornamentation. The participants showed keen interest in the national art forms, gaining a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.
