A master’s student of the Department of Chinese Studies became a prize winner.

On December 19, 2025, at the Republican poetry competition “Zhülgesi üzilmеген 115 жыл” dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, first-year master’s student of the Department of Chinese Studies, Alikhan Makhashov, was awarded the special prize named after R. Berdigaliyev.

The diploma states that you poetically portrayed the more than century-long history of the National Library and enhanced the appreciation of the librarian’s work. The poems flowing from your pen expanded the stream of national spirituality and conveyed the importance of books and knowledge to the hearts of readers.

In addition to the diploma, Alikhan received a monetary award of 50,000 tenge. The prize was presented by the Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gaziza Nurgaliyeva.
