International Symposium Held at Peking University as Part of KazNU Professors’ Official Visit

From November 18 to 25, 2025, faculty members of the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University — Acting Professor B. Kalymbek and Acting Associate Professor G.K. Rasheva — visited one of the leading higher education institutions of the People’s Republic of China, Peking University, ranked 14th globally according to the QS ranking.

During the visit, the KazNU representatives familiarized themselves with the university library’s collection, conducted research work, and held several meetings aimed at strengthening academic ties, expanding scientific cooperation, and discussing potential joint research directions.

On November 20, 2025, an international scientific-practical symposium titled “Symposium on the Exchange Visit” was held between Peking University Law School and Al-Farabi KazNU. The event took place within the framework of SDG 16 — “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.” The symposium addressed current issues in legal science, including topics in environmental law and inter-university academic mobility.
