Today, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have become an integral part not only of the academic agenda but also of the institutional mission of universities. In this regard, leading Turkish universities — Harran University, Amasya University, Istanbul University, and Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University — stand out as strategic partners actively promoting sustainable development at regional, national, and international levels.

During the webinar, foreign and domestic scholars comprehensively discussed current issues related to academic publishing. Notably, presentations were delivered by Dr. Uğur Altundaş (Harran University), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kürşat Efe (Amasya University), Dr. Kemal Çakır, representative of the Consulate of the Republic of Türkiye in Almaty, Prof. Dr. Savaş Şahin (Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University), and Prof. Dr. A. Askeroglu (Istanbul University), who shared their practical experience in preparing publications for international scientific journals.

The webinar was attended by faculty members, young researchers, master’s students, and doctoral candidates. The questions and proposals raised during the discussions generated lively academic debate, further highlighting the practical and scholarly significance of the event.

The international webinar, held with the participation of representatives from Istanbul University, Harran University, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, and the Consulate of the Republic of Türkiye in Almaty, was highly appreciated as a productive academic platform aimed at strengthening scientific and educational cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey.

Overall, the experience of Turkish universities clearly demonstrates that universities serve not only as centers of education, but also as drivers of regional development and international partners in advancing sustainable development. Inter-university cooperation, joint research projects, and academic mobility have become effective mechanisms for achieving the SDGs, opening new horizons for scientific and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
