Women in STEM/IT: Success Stories – Inspiring a New Generation of Researchers
At the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a series of short video clips has been produced, highlighting the professional activities and scientific research of women scientists and young female researchers of the faculty.
The videos present key research areas, ongoing projects, practical experience, and the contribution of young scholars to the development of science and education. The short video format allows for a clear and accessible presentation of academic and research activities, while also introducing a broad audience to the scientific potential of the faculty.
The objective of producing the Women in STEM/IT: Success Stories video series is to systematize and present the scientific and professional activities of women scientists and young female researchers of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences in a modern and accessible format. The initiative is aimed at documenting and disseminating information on research areas, scientific projects, and practical outcomes of research activities implemented at the faculty.
The publication of the video materials is intended to increase awareness among the university community and external audiences of the faculty’s scientific potential, broaden understanding of opportunities for academic and research activities in STEM/IT fields, and form a comprehensive view of the contribution of women to the advancement of science, technology, and sustainable development.
In addition, the initiative is oriented toward strengthening academic communication, fostering research culture, and increasing students’ interest in research activities by showcasing real scientific practices, interdisciplinary approaches, and current research conducted within the faculty’s educational and research programs.
