Digital Forecasting Technologies for Air Quality Management Discussed in Almaty
On October 30, 2025, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an online meeting on implementing digital forecasting technologies for managing air quality in Almaty. The event was supported by Climate Center and Almaty Development Center JSC, with participation from research institutions and environmental experts.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss a project for sustainable and effective air quality management and to review its scientific, legal, and techno-economic justification. Participants discussed integration into urban monitoring systems, regulatory issues, and practical implementation of the project.
The event was attended by Head of the Department of Customs, Finance, and Ecology G.A. Kuanalieva, Professor D.A. Baidildinov, and Associate Professor G.K. Rasheva, who presented their recommendations.
The event confirmed the relevance of digital forecasting technologies. The project was recognized as an important tool for sustainable urban development, environmental safety, and data-driven decision-making. The university’s social responsibility and contribution to SDGs № 11,13,16 were strengthened.
