Kazakhstan’s Independence Day

On 9th of December, within thr framework of SDG 4 – Quality Education, students of the Kazakh National University, together with senior lecturer of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, PhD in Philology Kakisheva Nurzada Tursumbekovna, held an event dedicated to Kazakhstan’s Independence Day. The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen students’ patriotic awareness, expand their knowledge of the country’s recent history, and highlight the importance of independence for Kazakhstan’s future development.

Students prepared informative presentations and short reports covering key stages in the formation of modern Kazakhstan, the role of the First President, the development of state institutions, and the establishment of national symbols. Special attention was given to the country’s achievements in economics, science, international relations, and culture throughout the years of independence.

During the event, participants discussed the value of national unity, the importance of preserving historical memory, and the contribution of the younger generation to strengthening the country’s sovereignty. Students actively asked questions, shared opinions and personal family stories, which made the meeting engaging and meaningful.

The event concluded with the viewing of a thematic video and an open discussion. The meeting demonstrated that young people are proud of their country and ready to contribute to its sustainable future.
