Faculty Members of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Took Part in the Regular Meeting of Kazakhstan’s Iranologists

On December 26, within the framework of the SDG project under the direction “Partnership for Sustainable Development,” Iranologist faculty members of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, along with master’s and doctoral students, participated in the regular meeting of Kazakhstan’s Iranologists held at the Iranian Cultural Center under the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty.

At the meeting, Batyrkhan Bolatbek presented a report on the ongoing efforts to officially register the Association of Iranologists of Kazakhstan. The participants also discussed the main areas of activity of the future association.

In the second part of the meeting, a presentation of the second book of the “One-Page Book” project was held. The book was translated by Gauhar Omarhanova, a second-year master’s student of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The presentation was also attended by Mr. Bagdat Kudiyar, Executive Director of the “Otbası Khrestomatiyasy” Public Foundation and a cultural studies expert.
