An Outreach Lecture “Prevention of Bullying and Cyberbullying in Educational Institutions” within the Framework of SDG 4

    On December 23, 2025, a lecturer from the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the Faculty of Law at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University delivered an outreach lecture for senior students of Secondary School-Gymnasium No. 206 on the topic “Prevention of Bullying and Cyberbullying in Educational Institutions.”

   The event was aimed at fostering students’ awareness of the issues of bullying and cyberbullying, as well as creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive educational environment. The activity was organized as part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education.

As part of the program, the following activities were carried out:

·         group training sessions focused on developing communication skills, self-esteem, and the ability to resolve conflicts peacefully;

·         individual support provided to students to build trust and encourage constructive interaction;

·         cyber hygiene training aimed at developing safe online behavior skills, including the protection of personal information and effective responses to online aggression.

The event was attended by representatives of the following groups:

·         School students – 20 participants;

·         KazNU lecturer – 1 participant.

The lecture contributed to the development of students’ skills in safe, lawful, and responsible behavior, as well as to the promotion of a culture of non-violent interaction. In addition, the event strengthened cooperation between the university and the school, supported partnership-building efforts to attract motivated prospective students, and contributed to the achievement of SDG indicators.
