A new energy center will be opened in KazNU

Chairman of the board-Rector of Al – Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with Vice Minister of energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Ilyas.

During the meeting, issues of training qualified personnel in demand in the energy industry, as well as the development of modern technologies with the effective use of the scientific and educational potential of the university were discussed.

In particular, the parties discussed the creation of an industrial technological competence center in the field of energy at the university and approved a joint work plan.

The center's goal is to develop the fuel and energy complex of Kazakhstan at a modern level through the introduction of digital, innovative and advanced technologies, support scientific research in the energy sector and train highly qualified specialists. The Center will promote scientific research and the implementation of pilot projects, as well as the introduction of technological solutions in such areas as renewable energy sources, production and transportation of hydrocarbons, electric and thermal energy.

During the negotiations, the parties defined the role of the center in the implementation of innovative projects in the energy sector. In the future, the university and the ministry plan to jointly conduct scientific research and introduce international best practices in this field in Kazakhstan.

The industrial technology competence Center will be established on the basis of KazNU with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
