On January 17, 2026, an online webinar titled “Artificial Intelligence: Fundamentals, Risks, and Responsibility” was held. The event was dedicated to the role of rapidly developing digital technologies and artificial intelligence systems in society, as well as the legal and ethical aspects of their application.

          Today, artificial intelligence is widely used in the fields of education, medicine, economics, law, and public administration. In this regard, issues related to the responsible use of these technologies, preliminary assessment of potential risks, and legal regulation are of particular importance. The main purpose of the webinar was to explain the essence of artificial intelligence and to discuss relevant issues arising from its application.

          The event was attended by the Head of the Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure, Labor Law of the Faculty of Law, Doctor of Law, Acting Professor Talgat Toleuuly Balashov, who presented a legal analysis of the stated topic. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of improving legal regulation mechanisms in the field of artificial intelligence application and highlighted the need for comprehensive scientific and practical work in this area.

          The main speaker of the online webinar was Nariman Saparovich Suleimenov, Senior Lecturer at the Higher School of Law “Adilet”, who focused on the key concepts of artificial intelligence, its operating principles, and specific features of its application in the legal sphere. In his presentation, he paid special attention to the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms, personal data security, and legal liability associated with the use of artificial intelligence technologies.

           In addition, the speaker expressed his views on the legality of decisions made by automated systems and algorithms, their impact on human life, and the determination of responsibility in such cases. These issues aroused significant interest among the participants, as they are relevant to modern legal practice.

          During the webinar, participants received comprehensive information on legal risks, the scope of responsibility, and the impact of digital technologies on social processes. The online event was held in an interactive format, allowing participants to ask questions and exchange opinions.

          Such webinars contribute to a deeper understanding of the relationship between modern technologies and law, as well as to improving the digital literacy of students and professionals.
