The preliminary defense of the doctoral dissertation by Pavel Pavlovich Grossul

On January 22, 2026, at 11:00, a preliminary defense of the doctoral dissertation by Pavel Pavlovich Grossul entitled “Post-classification analysis of land-use dynamics in selected districts of the Karaganda region” was held a base of the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The dissertation was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) under the educational program 8D07302 – Geodesy. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format.

During the preliminary defense, the candidate presented the main results of the research, substantiated its scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance, and provided comprehensive answers to the questions raised by the members of the extended meeting.

Following the discussion, the members of the dissertation council gave a positive assessment of the dissertation, noting its relevance, high scientific and methodological level, and compliance with the requirements for doctoral dissertations. A positive decision was made to recommend the dissertation for defense, taking into account the comments and recommendations expressed.

The dissertation research was carried out at the Department of Geodesy and Cartography of S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University.
