Farabi Winter Scientific School: "Human Rights Protection Mechanism: National and International Experience"
As part of the implementation of SDG 4 "Quality Education," proclaimed by the UN to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law at Al-Farabi KazNU is holding the Farabi Winter Scientific School on the topic of "Protecting Human Rights in the Digital Environment." The opening of the winter school took place today, January 26, 2026. Moderator: Doctor of Law, Professor A.S. Ibraeva.
The Farabi Winter Scientific School will run from January 26 to February 6, 2026.
The goal of the Farabi Winter Scientific School is to teach students the fundamentals of law and to develop skills for applying legal knowledge in practice.
The Farabi Winter Scientific School will cover a wide range of topics in legal and state theory, constitutional and administrative law, international law, human rights theory, personal data protection, the integration of digital law into society, the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, and certain civil law issues.
Classes at the Farabi Winter Scientific School are taught by leading Kazakh scholars, representatives of government agencies and civil society, and faculty from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and other universities.
On the first day of the Farabi Winter Scientific School, Doctor of Law and Professor A.S. Ibrayeva taught a class on the topic "The Mechanism for the Protection of Human Rights: National and International Experience." The participants examined basic concepts related to human rights theory and national and international experience in protecting human rights.
Doctor of Law and Professor Alua Salamatovna Ibrayeva emphasized that every person living in Kazakhstan must know, respect, and abide by the law, respect human rights, and fully fulfill their constitutional obligations.
The Farabi Winter Scientific School is organized for law students from international universities. Thirty students from international universities participated on the first day. Upon completion of the winter scientific school, all participants will receive a certificate for completing 72 hours.
