SDG-4 The first meeting of the Academic Council in 2026 was held. All members of the Academic Council attended the meeting. Several topical issues were considered on the agenda, including:
1. The results of the winter examination session and the monitoring of students’ academic performance (report by Nelya Berikkyzy Rushanova, Deputy Dean for Academic, Methodological and Educational Affairs).
2. Faculty and departmental reporting on indicative performance indicators (reports by the Dean of the Faculty, K. Auesbayuly, and Heads of Departments).
3. Results of establishing feedback with experts within the QS ranking framework (reports by Altyn Bakashkyzy Akynbekova, Deputy Dean for Research, Innovation and International Relations, and Heads of Departments).
4. Presentation of the semi-annual plan for social and educational activities (report by Nurlyaiym Turсынбайкызы Danaeva, Deputy Dean for Social and Educational Affairs).
In addition, Heads of Departments presented reports on publications indexed in the Scopus database, joint research papers authored in collaboration with foreign scholars, educational and methodological work, issues related to the commencement of pedagogical practice, as well as a number of other relevant matters.
The meeting also addressed the quality of research articles published in the “Khabarshy” journal series in Journalism, as well as the work of reviewers involved in the evaluation of scientific publications.
The Deputy Deans for Academic and Methodological Affairs, Research, Innovation and International Relations, and Social and Educational Affairs reported on the work carried out in their respective areas.
Furthermore, within the framework of the “Bolashak” Programme, a report on related activities was delivered by Nelya Berikkyzy Rushanova.
