Solemn Presentation of the Book “JUDGE” by Colonel of Justice, Retired Judge, Alumnus of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Class of 1985) Sovethan Sakenuly

On January 28, 2025, a ceremonial presentation of the book «JUDGE» by S. Sakenuly, Colonel of Justice, retired judge, and a 1985 graduate of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, was held at the Faculty of Law. This publication is the result of the author’s many years of professional experience and deep reflection and is aimed at strengthening legal awareness and the rule of law.
The event was attended by B.B. Omarov, Member of the Management Board of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Vice-Rector for Sustainable Social Development, U.A. Akhatov, Dean of the Faculty of Law, as well as the faculty members of the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law, led by the Chair of the Department, Doctor of Law, Professor G.A. Kuanaliyeva.

The book presentation was opened by U.A. Akhatov, Dean of the Faculty of Law, who in his speech emphasized the importance of the judicial profession in society, its role in ensuring the rule of law, and the significance of such works for the professional development of future lawyers. The event was moderated by M.S. Zhapakov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law.
During the meeting, the author’s life path, judicial experience, and the key issues raised in the book were discussed in detail. Students and faculty members asked insightful questions. The event became a platform for constructive dialogue aimed at fostering legal culture and promoting the values of justice.
