Clean Kazakhstan: Environmental Protection through Environmental Law and the Enhancement of Citizens’ Legal Responsibility
On February 5, 2025, an event entitled «Clean Kazakhstan: Environmental Protection through Environmental Law and the Enhancement of Citizens’ Legal Responsibility» was held at the Faculty of Law. The event was organized by the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law, and the opening ceremony was conducted by the Head of the Department, G.A. Kuanalуieva.
The main objective of the event was to deepen students’ knowledge in the field of environmental law, enhance civic responsibility in environmental protection, and promote the development of legal culture.
The event was attended by the department’s faculty members, a well-known legal scholar, Doctor of Law, Professor A.A. Isaev, as well as department lecturers G.K. Rasheva, A.A. Yessekeyeva, and K.A. Bakhmanova, who actively contributed to the discussions.
During the meeting, topical issues of contemporary environmental policy, the culture of rational use of natural resources, and legal liability for environmental offenses as provided by current legislation were comprehensively discussed. Students actively expressed their views, asked questions, and exchanged opinions on the legal foundations of environmental safety and sustainable development from the perspective of future lawyers.
Third-year students of the Faculty of Law actively participated in the event, which enabled them to gain a deeper understanding of the role and significance of environmental law in modern society. This initiative made a significant contribution to enhancing students’ legal awareness, as well as to fostering environmental culture and civic responsibility.
