Students of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia Visited the D.A. Kunayev Museum

On February 4, second-year Iranian studies students of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, accompanied by their advisor A.Zh. Boranbayeva, visited the house-museum and the memorial museum-apartment of the outstanding statesman and prominent public figure, the great son of the Kazakh people, Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunaev.

During the visit, students became acquainted with various archival documents related to D.A. Kunayev’s life path and the history of Kazakhstan in the last century. They also watched video materials presenting key and significant moments of his life.

Particular interest was drawn to the apartment where the public figure spent the last 24 years of his life. Visiting the museum gave students the feeling of opening a vivid page of history. Overall, the excursion left a strong and lasting impression on the students.
