An extended meeting dedicated to strengthening law and order, aimed at ensuring sustainable development and public safety, was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event brought together faculty members and students and addressed a wide range of issues related to enhancing legal awareness, fostering civic responsibility, and developing a safe and secure educational environment.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that law and order form a solid foundation not only for the state but also for educational institutions. The university is not merely a place for acquiring academic knowledge; it also serves as a key environment for shaping conscious, responsible, and socially engaged citizens. The primary objective of the meeting was not limited to reminding participants of legal requirements, but rather to promote a deeper understanding of discipline, encourage personal responsibility among students and staff, and discuss effective ways to establish a safe, fair, and respectful atmosphere within the university community.

As part of the event, Erlan Beggulayevich, an addiction specialist from the “Narkostop” Public Foundation, delivered a presentation focusing on the prevention of harmful habits and the psychological and social consequences of addiction. He highlighted the importance of promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people as a crucial factor in ensuring societal well-being and long-term development.

Almas Ermukhanbetuly, a district police inspector of the Bostandyk District Police Department of Almaty, holding the rank of police lieutenant colonel, addressed issues related to crime prevention, compliance with legal norms, and the rights and responsibilities of students. In his speech, he stressed the role of respect for the law in maintaining social stability and public security.

In addition, Anar Aitpekovna, Head of the University Compliance Control Service, spoke on strengthening the principles of integrity and transparency, providing information on internal control systems and measures aimed at preventing corruption risks. Timur Khusanovich Antaev, Director of the Situational Management Center, shared insights into campus security systems, risk management practices, and rapid response mechanisms in emergency situations.

Furthermore, Erkebulan Zhanbolatuly, Head of the KazNU Medical Center, presented on student health protection, medical safety, and preventive healthcare measures.

This event aligns directly with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4 – Quality Education, and SDG 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. The meeting comprehensively addressed issues related to youth health protection, the enhancement of legal literacy, and the creation of a safe, just, and inclusive educational environment.
