Literary Heritage — a Legacy for Future Generations: Memorial Evening for Tolen Kaupynbayuly

On September 9, 2025, a memorial evening dedicated to the prominent writer and literary figure Tolen Kaupynbayuly was held at the regional library. The purpose of the event was to promote the writer’s creative legacy, encourage young people to engage with literature, and highlight national spiritual values.

The event was attended by representatives of the intellectual community, literary scholars, educators, library staff, and students from various educational institutions. A group of students from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University College was also specially invited and took an active part in the evening.

During the event, informative presentations on the writer’s life and literary heritage were delivered. A book exhibition organized by the library showcased Tolen Kaupynbayuly’s works as well as studies written about his life and contributions. College students read excerpts from the writer’s works, demonstrating their interest in literature.

In their speeches, scholars emphasized the artistic features of the writer’s works and the significance of the national idea reflected in his writings. In addition, personal recollections from the writer’s life were warmly received by the audience.
