Meeting Held on the “Draft of the New Constitution”

An informational and explanatory meeting on the topic “Draft of the New Constitution” was held at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences  of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The purpose of the event was to familiarize the faculty members with the main provisions of the draft Constitution, explain the significance of the proposed amendments and changes, and enhance legal awareness and culture.                           

The speakers included:

🔹 Marat Kalimoldin – Kazakhstani public figure, expert in education and anti-corruption policy, member of the Public Council of Almaty, head of the public foundation “Parasatty Urpaq Ushin”;

🔹 Yermek Kozhamsugirov – Member of the Public Council of Almaty;

🔹 Gulnar Aigarinova – Professor of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law at the Faculty of Law, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Candidate of Legal Sciences;

🔹 Sanat Tugulbayev – Senior Lecturer of the Department of Geography and Land Sciences, Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Candidate of Geographical Sciences.

During the meeting, the key provisions of the draft Constitution, the proposed amendments, and their socio-political and institutional significance were thoroughly discussed.

The event was held at a high level and was marked by active and engaging discussions. Participants raised substantive questions, and the speakers provided detailed and professional responses. The meeting created an open platform for dialogue and in-depth consideration of constitutional reforms.
